Jens Lechleitner, Attorney at Law (Germany)
After studying law and philosophy at the Universities of Münster, Lausanne and Freiburg I completed the mandatory postgraduate legal training at the Court of Appeal in Berlin. Inter alia, as a legal trainee I worked in the Chancellery of the Mayor of the City and State of Berlin and in a major law firm in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA. I got my bar admission in 2002 and started my career as associate for Business Law and Administrative Law in the Berlin office of Büsing, Müffelmann und Theye. In 2007 I worked for several months in an international project team for a major law firm in London, UK. Back in Berlin I opened up my own law office in 2008. The idea to focus on the restitution of dormant bank accounts came accidentally: I myself became a "victim" of the regulation in the US regarding dormant accounts as an account of mine had been taken over by a state treasurer.
I speak German, English and French. In my spare time I like swimming and enjoy the variety of cultural life in Berlin with its many museums, theatres and exhibitions.
